4. I greatly regret that my imminent departure from

the Colony will prevent my taking part in local discussion

and consideration of the se reports. I have indeed only

been able to find time for a somewhat cursory reading of

them, but I think that the Committee is to be congratulated

on a most useful, thorough and intensive piece of work for

which I have duly thanked them. The results of local

discussion will be communicated to you in due course for

your consideration.
